At Little Scallywags, we pride ourselves on our supportive network and the opportunities we have within the company for staff training.We know how important it is to be up to date with relevent information - not only to better our practice within the nursery but to improve staff confidence and knowledge around relevant subjects.We encourage staff to take part in various training courses to enhance their professional development and often use their individual skills to train others within the whole team. Having 7 nurseries, we are proud to see a whole range of skills to share.Vanessa, our manager at Shard End is particularly passionate about Safeguarding and Health and Safety. This week, Vanessa led some training at our Garretts Green setting to some of our newer staff within the company. It was an active training session encouraging lots of discussion and information sharing.Each term we look at what training is needed and what staff could benefit from. This month we have updated our First Aid qualifications, safeguarding knowledge and are starting to reflect on our 2021 development plan. We strive to continuously improve as a nursery and enjoy being pro active when it comes to training.
