After recent in-house training, all of our staff at Little Scallywags have been focussing on their nursery environment.
As we promote independent learning at nursery, our environments are catered towards children’s interests and designed to encourage all children to explore, talk and think and try things out for themselves.
At Little Scallywags, staff will plan specific and meaningful activities that will encourage children to meet their next steps and nursery targets. This is usually achieved by enhancing children’s preferred learning environment and building on their existing knowledge so they have the opportunity to learn new skills.
Individual observations of children and their achievements are shared with parents via our Online Learning Journal- Tapestry.
If you would like more information on how our nurseries plan for children’s individual developmental needs or anything else to do with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), please speak to the nursery staff at anytime!
