At Shard End, staff were set a challenge by their manager to develop an area of choice in the setting.Pre School staff noticed that children in their room loved having access to water. They had been experimenting with different resources, using the outside tap to fill and pour water in the garden. They decided to challenge the children further and extend on their learning by creating a water feature for children to explore and enjoy! Staff also spent time making a car track from an unused cable reel!Toddler room noticed one of our gardens was looking abit 'boring' and needed a revamp. Staff involved the children using paint and added accessories to create a much brighter environment.Baby room updated their sensory area and added lots of natural resources, including bubble lights and treasure baskets - perfect for the little ones!Well done Shard End team - you have all worked so hard and it looks great!
